What did we do

Description

We had numerous smiling faces not only from our players, but from our parents too. I had two fathers of 2 players that played on a different team than ours last year. They couldn’t get more than how much diverse and enjoyable our practice was versus what they had experienced the prior year, Each said they could see what we had been attempting to do “under the covers” and actually liked our progression teaching method.

This segment lasted about ten minutes, we will have it down to about 5 minutes by the beginning of nest week, The dynamic muscle activation movements included jumping jacks, high knees out of a stance and on cadence, butt kickers out of stance and on cadence, lunges after which a group yell/break.

The remaining 90 minutes of practice went greater than expected. We have about 40% new rookie very first time players this year as we added yet another team. The veteran players have up to 4 years with us and are outstanding copy models for the rookie players.

Hope your seasons are going also.

Of course we constantly start off off with a 30 minute mandatory parent/player/coaches meeting. We set our expectations of the season and assessment our coaches, parent and player contracts that spell out our expectations and requirements. We leave small to likelihood in regards to our mission, attendance, playing time, positions (what’s greatest for the team),http://www.esporlosninos.org/Nike-Free-5.0-Womens.html, sportsmanship expectations, communication approach, effort,http://www.esporlosninos.org/womens-nike-free-run-4.0-tropical-twist.html, discipline and attitude to name just several. As has been the custom for the last 8 seasons I gave all parents the solution of finding their income back and moving on to one more team if they felt this was not going to become a great fit as our mission, objectives and strategies aren’t up for negotiation and won’t modify.

In order to leverage the talent pool of our coaches we do some drills as an complete group regardless of age and other people we’re split into teams. All of our coaches have attended clinics put on by me and a lot of have the book. Of course we got the children off on the proper foot with our “ready focus” communication rule/process. The kids were fantastic, tiffany blue free runs, even the actual young children were attentive after we reviewed it and let them know why and the repercussions for not adhering to the regular, We did dynamic warm ups as an entire group. As could be the norm for the duration of our dynamic warm ups, we taught the stance progression and our cadence and initial play, “no play” within the first five minutes of the very first practice.

We followed the initial day practice plan appropriate out of my book on page 88 and did Angle Form tackling in groups of 6 too as the snap progression drill detailed here on the weblog. We had been able to use a number of of the entertaining games/drills we use to evaluate players including Deer Hunter, Towel Game and Sumo. All of the coaches had their little note pads out to write down who was finishing exactly where in these games. All the whilst the children were getting a blast even within the extreme heat. We stayed in the shade and had lots of water breaks.

Our Very first Youth Football Practice of the SeasonAugust 6th,http://www.esporlosninos.org/Nike-Free-4.0-V2-Womens-Coral-Fluorescence-Green-Running-Shoes.html, 2008 First Youth Football Practice of the Season

This Monday was our first football practice of our young season. The temps had been in the high 90s and also the humidity was more than 80, so it was pretty miserable. As many of you realize, I am head coaching three teams this year an age 7-9 team, an age 10-11 team and an age 12-13 team. My preference would be to coach just 1 team but there was a petition, pressure etc,Nike Free Run 3 Womens RoyalBlue White, so I caved. But I did put my foot down and have a transition/training strategy in location so I can get back to just 1 team subsequent year.

What did we do?

We reviewed the back numbering program and hole numbering system using the group through the water breaks to conserve time. We’ll practice again on Tuesday after which will likely be in pads on Thursday. Stay tuned to determine exactly where we are at.
